Corporate organisations usually have a set of formal portraits of executive members or managers. They would be perfect for publications such as annual reports. In the case of Chandler Macleod’s marketing manager setting up a corporate blog she wanted something different.
After seeing someone’s Linkedin profile image that I took last year, Chandler Macleod contracted me to produce photographs of its blog authors. The brief was – Images should be informal but not casual. They should be fresh, colourful and definitely not corporate.
The photographs were shot in a boardroom using the CBD skyscrapers as a backdrop. I used one strobe as a key light at 45 degree angle on the right of the subject. This would be the most simple and effective set up. One thing I need to remember for next time is carrying a fresh set of comb in case my subjects are having a bad hair day.
