A year ago…and we are celebrating

By October 17, 2019 No Comments

This is me a year ago. At the time, I knew what my purpose was.

What I did not know was how my message of understanding and capturing personal values and personalities in order to build branding assets would be received or even if that message would make sense to people.

I showed up and shared my insights and what worked for my own brand building and those of my clients. And I started seeing the results almost immediately. I learned that there are people who want to hear what I have to say.

It has not been all smooth sailing. Not because anyone was criticising what I was saying. Not even because of a lack of ability or capability on my part. Mainly because of a lingering pull of self-doubt and that voice from the past that says things like “Not good enough” and “Who do you think you are?”.

I saw those narratives coming and going but I did not buy into them. I treated them for what they were – stale narratives that are no longer relevant. My clients and I, we see these negative stories playing all the time. We rejoice in knowing and noticing. As a group, we are creating a wave – authentically growing our brands in our unique corners of the world doing what we do best with powerful messages to share.

What we have now is a way of showing up generously, mindfully and with empathy for the people we seek to serve. This, what we know now as our own authentic personal brands, help us grow together.

I am here to celebrate two of those amazing women with whom I was able to witness what is possible when we go beyond the superficial while establishing a personal brand.

While working with me, Katie became super clear about the people for whom her work is about. What we see here is an example of personal branding implementation work after the photoshoot – across the entire branding assets including a website, lead magnet, business card, email signature and social media banner & post templates and so on.

Here’s what Katie said recently:

Without a doubt, one of the smartest things I have ever done in business was engaging the services of the AMAZING Songy and her team. Not only did Songy and her team do an amazing job of styling and photographing me but I also had 1:1 coaching with Songy that nailed with absolute clarity my avatar. Songy then designed and built my website and crafted all of my personal branding stationery.
Seriously, these gals freaking rock!
I feel incredibly grateful to have them in my Circle of Influence and on my team of go-to women to keep me on task!

Donna’s website went live last week with my help in the areas of sharpening the message, the usage of her photographs and styling her lead generator. Her feedback below sums up her experience to date perfectly.

I wanted to be in control of my brand and messaging. Songy helped me articulate and frame up what I needed to tell and show the world. Now I can direct my messaging to those who truly ‘get it’.

Today, I was out having a meeting with a client who also became a friend. She asked if my business was doing really well (rather than the usual social media hyperbole). I was able to say smiling sheepishly,

Yes, I’m doing great.

I shared how much I was pulling in each month and her eyes widened. I’m grateful to be where I am right now but I also know that I cannot rest on my laurels. You see, I have a mission and a purpose which have not changed.

I extend my invitation to ride the wave (which started as a lone ripple for me). Now many of us are riding together to clarify our mission and show up to share generously with an audience who is eager to hear what we have to say.

Are you in?
